first of all: aion is just awesome. second: I made it to the finalists with my video Map Of the Problematique! http://www.creativejunkyard.co.cc/I seriously have never won any competition with my videos. Well, watching the video now and all those lousy effects I'm pretty sure I won't win this one either. But I'm still really proud that I actually made it to the finalists. Making of MEP FF13 Versus / Drakengard - Part 2
Slowly but surely it's taking form. I love the lyrics of my part by the way. I actually wanted to make both of them kill each other. In the end it's just Furiae killing helself, becoming a demon and then killing Noctis. (Not that I mind too much) But maybe if I add a bit masking. Finally started my part on the collaboration video with a few people. Really excited about this, so far it's pretty fun, can't wait to see how it looks when everyone has finished their part :D Making of - part 1 Almost finished with the scene selection as you can see. Still not too sure how I'll get from suicide to moster mode. The timing is mainly set as well. Of course I'll put in a few more effects in scenes to make the pace abit faster and (hopefully) smoother. I'm planning to mask a bit, not too sure what, though. Well. I'm obviously totally addicted. Do you know the feeling when you just have to get something out of your system because it doesn't leave any other room for creativity or inspiration. Jup, this is the outcome of such a feeling. I saw the episode, then I listened to Nightwish's - The Islander. And I just knew I couldn't do anything else except to make a video of both of them, just for the sake of getting it out of my system. And to be finally able to do something creative again afterwards. But now that it's finally somehow... finished - I'm not content at all with it XD. Sure, now I get to watch psycho Tackey in all his glory to a cool song (and that's quite honestly the whole truth behind making this video ... oh god, how can I admit that lol) but... the timing is off, there aren't any effects, neither are there flashy, shiny texts or a background for that matter. So ... hmm. Guess when the next episode comes out I'll do another "Tribute to the hottest psycho ever". *rant on Okay, never thought I'd find another jdrama that's just as addictive as Yasha, but here it is: Orthros no Inu. It's simply amazing. You have 2 guys, both of them have a special power: Aoi can kill someone with a simple touch, making him the perfect murderer. Ryuuzaki can heal someone with a simple touch, making him the perfect .. um healer? It's just a bit problematic that Aoi is the kindhearted guy who wants to help people. And that Ryuuzaki is the manipulative psycho asshole who doesn't give a shit about humankind - he spent the last few years in an isolated cell in prison after murdering a few people (and not healing them although he has the ability to.) The whole drama looks pretty complicated (just how I love them) - but I've only watched the first 2 episodes yet. Eagerly waiting for my downloads to finish so I can watch the rest of them (at least the ones that have already been subbed). What I also like about this drama is that the supporting characters are also very well explained and realistic. And the acting performance from both main and supporting characters is brilliant. And it's really interesting to see how Ryuuzaki manipulates Aoi into becoming a killer. Take into account that I was ... um a bit intoxicated when I watched the episodes. [unfinished!] Because I'm too lazy I'll just copy&paste the text from youtube: Okay, first of all: I usually don't post unfinished videos on this account. But since my second account is for videos I'm currently working on and this video is on hold for quite a while (since somehow Sony Vegas can't open it anymore and I'm working on another video - which I like so much more anyway) I thought why not. This was actually a gift for my brother who asked me "Where are the damn fight scenes" when I showed him one of my other videos XD Idea for this video: I wanted to make a video that is based around the final fight with Sephiroth in Advent Children. The part where Cloud is confronted with what's most important to him. And why not make it a bit angsty by having everyone accuse and critisize him before he actually finishes Sepiroth off ;) So basically I'm going for lipsync on this video. You might not see much of it yet because ... yeah well, because I'm not that far with the video yet. I wanted Cloud to listen to all those accusations silently until - because I'm a Cloti fan - Tifa accuses him and he can't help himself but answer. The one thing I really wanted to do was to make was the last part where Cloud and Tifa say the chorus from different perspectives Tifa: I love you Cloud: I hate you Tifa: I can't live without you Cloud: I love you Tifa: I hate you Cloud: I can't live without you. You can't really recognize it, yet, though because - it's not finished XD As you can see I couldn't finish the masking in some scenes (Denzel for example) and I'm not content with the Aeris scenes at all. The Zack scenes are still missing and the scenes with Kadaj had already been changed to make it flow a bit smoother (can't see the new version here, though ; ;) The scenes with Sepiroth should have been changed just a bit, too, and there are barely any effects since I usually add them when I finish the timing. The Tifa scenes aren't in sync either, but well.... I had a newer version of it where I tried to correct the timing but since I didn't render it (and can't open it anymore) I guess this will just have to do ; ; Just take it as a small little something until I finish my tribute video for one of the best Final Fantasy fanfictions I've ever read - because this one will hopefully be glorious after 2 months of working on it (and probably another one till it's finished XD) Disclaimer: Neither own video nor audio, just putting both together Program: Sony Vegas Pro 8 And here's a sneak peek of the new video ^^ - not finished as well of course lol This is my compromise with Zeroth's suggestion to slow down the fast scene changes ;) (The background looks so much better when you can watch it on winamp, but once it's finished I'll post a download link anyway.) kidding, here's the newest version Copy&Paste from youtube: Finally got my pc back to work - and Sony Vegas, too. Just four words: Project Management Student Trainee! ... project management! Doesn't that sound cool?! Unfortunately it's just the work that economics studients are studying for: Excel, Pivot Tables. Woot. ......... At least you have a pc of your own and no people to annoy you during work (unless they give you new work). Guess that's life from now on. Seems a bit boring since I'd really like to do something more creative. But let's be realistic: Who actually gets the chance to do what he likes to do. I repaired my Xbox360! *I* repaired my Xbox! Me! By myself! Technically challenged and 2 left hands! Bought a screwdriver, took a few hairpins (gotta work with what you have!) and took the whole thing apart. I'm still amazed that I didn't break anything. Wow it's finally finished. I actually wanted to complete my other video to ASP - Ich will brennen first, but it kinda took a lot longer than I expected. Somehow all of my videos always take alot longer than I expect. I really like how this one came out, though. The masking was hell. Jup, every single clip of Cloud you see is pretty much masked. For good or bad, I cannot really say. At least he's a lot more active now in the second part of the video - fighting and stuff. Because that was kind of my intention when I wrote "Mode: Active". At first my active mode looked like my passive mode because I was too lazy to mask all of those Cloud scenes XD 1:08-1:10 seriously took forever. Not only the masking (and oh man, it's so frustrating that I worked so long on it and used so many effects (contrast, colour, blurring, lightning...) - and you still see it's two different games) but the fact that I wanted to mask Cloud while he himself was moving and the scenery behind him was moving.... - and btw. I made the scenery move, it was pretty much static till I worked on it. At least I hope it somehow looks like Cloud's fighting with Caim XD (at first I made them fight alongside each other. Then I deleted all of those scenes - broke my heart since it was all masking as well and masking takes fucking forever - and used this one instead) Well long story short. I hope someone enjoys it. Feedback would be nice, but I kinda gave up for it on this livejournal anyway. XD (But thanks alot for the few people that actually do leave a comment every now and then ^^) - Contrary to popular belief I do listen to what ppl tell me. I asked a friend of mine for his opinion and when he told me that I needed more effects for the second half of the video I tried to make some echo effects and stuff. So really - if there's anything you like or don't like just say so. I have the sony vegas data on my pc and I can change it. Personally I'd love to see someone put my ideas into his/her video - and I would, if you'd just tell me. But, well, that's just me I guess.
